It is dull and has some usual scratches and scuffs. But pretty free of deeper marks. Looks good as it is but shouldn't need too much work to be a beauty.

At the back left is a chip that starts at 13 mm wide reducing to about 8 mm as it runs 25 mm from under the base up the side. 5 x 3 mm scuffed impact at the front right shoulder. Some scratches and scuffs and a bit of haze inside. Shallow 12 x 8 mm open bubble at the front base edge. Good looking little bottle and not easy to get.

Condition: Very Good. Firstly, do not confuse this with the common C. R. Moore & Co codd bottle, this is the earlier version with true applied top, the word lemonade is not on the rear and there is no & Co on this earlier example. Much rarer, we have never sold one of these! There is some faint surface haze in places. Small flake to base heel. Some fine scuffs and scratches. Great embossing has some very minor marks. A few little impact marks. Some scratches to the inner neck. Small burst bubble to inner chamber on one side. A lovely example really of this rare bottle.

Condition: Good. Polished. Top of the lip has been ground slightly and is very flat with a bit of a lean towards the back. Some of the back embossing has been polished very flat and almost invisible in places. Main embossing is pretty good, flattened a little bit at the edges. Some letters are very strong but it has come out of the mould this way. A few of the weaker letters may have been enhanced a little along with the polish. Good looking example of a rare Western Australian bottle.

Condition: Good. Shallow chipped area inside the back left lip of about 15 x 4 mm. Surface is very scuffy with scratches. Base edge has little impacts, flakes and nibbles around most of its circumference. Only part of the bottle is amethyst - looks like only the right base and lower side have been exposed to the sun for any time but should turn much more with a bit of time on the roof! Strong embossing. Rare bottle in solid order that should clean up more.

The main thing with this example is an inclusion above the B of Hobart. There is a 12 x 10 mm bruise from this. The first small one we have sold.

Condition: Very Good. Stained to inner front, this is a little opalescent in places. Some other patches of stain to be found as well. Tiny impact nick to heel. Bubble to left has an impact over it, it is not burst but has discoloured. Small spot of deep wear to lower part of the middle of the badge. Scuffs and scratches scattered around. Fisheyes to be found, and a few little impact marks as well. Couple of little impact marks to lip as well. Embossing is strong, it has some marks as you would expect with a dug bottle like this with the usual other marks. The glass in the base is about an inch thick! Quite a hard one to get.

Condition: Good. Polished. Still quite scuffed and pitted. Shallow 11 x 9 mm chip to the lip with a 12 mm fracture behind it. Another 8 x 4 mm bruise in the lip opposite the first mark. Some other fleabites and marks around the lip. Rare variation: No glass makers marks and only has the abbreviation Jan in the registration date. Also the deep cross pinch is more like those used in the Rowlands Patent. A rough one but very unusual.

Condition: Very Good. Basically still a bit dirty inside along with some light stain. Just regular scuffs and scratches. Great embossing. Will clean up better but already a lovely example of a very scarce country Victorian marble bottle.

Condition: Very Good. Dusty and grimy. Nibbles, fleabites, scrapes and rust stain around the left and back third of the lip. Small impact flake and associated bruise to the base heel. General scratches and scuffs. Solid bottle, nice earlier variety, see also the spun top version in this auction.

Condition: Good. 6 x 4 mm butterfly shaped chip on the front shoulder with a smaller impact in front of it. Fine 30 x 6 mm star fracture in the left front marble chamber. Some scratches down the right side and a few general light marks elsewhere. Great looking bottle on display though. Compare with the applied top variety also in this auction.

Condition: Excellent. A bit dirty still with caked on grime down the back and some dirt inside. Just light scratches and marks. Looks like a burst bubble inside the chamber. Needs a good wash but this is a lovely and hard to get little marble bottle.

Condition: Very Good. Dull all over and surface just slightly etched. Baby oil inside. General scuffs and scratches. Looks like it will come up really well. A bit of an unusual Botany Glass Works variety.

Condition: Very Good. Oiled internally. Slightly hazy. Some scuffs and scratches, slightly deeper scuff to rear shoulder. Tiny flake to inner base heel. Nice embossing has just a few minor spots of wear. Just one or two little fisheyes. Nice colour, hard to get in this small size and colour.
