Chinese Opium Bowl, some indistinct chinese characters on the shoulder on one side. Goldfields Chinese Teracotta opium bowl. 66 mm diameter. 1850s
Very Good. Small flake near the top opening which is very shallow. Couple of tiny nicks in the glaze on the upper region. Scratch through the glaze on the side over the middle rib, about 10 mm long. Below this is a chip, 12 x 8 mm. Small scratch to the right of this chip. Around further is another chip at the base, 8 x 4 mm. Shallow flake under the base, 6 x 3 mm. Couple of other small nicks and glaze flakes around this bottom edge. Some usage glaze wear on the mid base area with other scuffs and scratches to be found. A nice Chinese piece.
