Lot 11: Davies Capel Bendigo Knight Codd Bottle

Good. Polished. Some making splits to lip. Inner chamber is pitted. On trade mark side to left of neck groove, there is a crescent shape below it which is the remains of a burst bubble or chip that has been polished out. Above the trade mark a bubble has burst and has been smoothed over. Another smaller one to the left of this. On rear in middle on upper body is a cluster of bubbles, of which a couple have burst and been smoothed over a little. Impact mark to leg of horse is a little fractured. The trade mark has a lot of scratches over it. Remains of pits, fisheyes and scratches over the body. Fisheye under base. The embossing has been reasonably well protected in the polish, the rest of the bottle is pretty heavily polished. Some inner scratches. A rare bottle with both Davies and Capel on it.
