Late Alen Michael, Mackay Collection. Spirits Whisky Amphora shaped whisky decanter with footed base. Comes with a stopper but fit suggests this is not the original (suits the style of the decanter however). Clear with Red, White & Blue writing. 26 oz. 315 mm with stopper. 1920s
Excellent. The top of the right hand handle however has two fractures where it joins the neck, and there is also a (5 x 3 mm) flake chip off the neck itself to the back side of the handle. A good deal of wear under the base, so it has been used for a fair while. Some minor marks elsewhere. Oil has been used inside to hide the typical contents stain that these decanters develop, so needs a good wash before you put your whisky in it! Most of the lettering is fine, there is some flaking to the red Y of whisky. Grade: 8.1 Estimate: $60 - 80
