Sold for A$250

Goldfields cricket buckle: How's That Umpire / (Detailed Lion with bat, ball and stumps). The clasp at the rear has a registration diamond. Sporting Cricket Round cricket belt buckle. 50 mm diameter. 1860s

Very Good. An astounding buckle in my mind, just goes to show that the famous cricketing terminology that has since been abbreviated to "Howzat" has been around for a very long time. This is shiny, has a couple of little dints and scrapes to the face section. Is also a little misshapen. This still has the clasp underneath which has a registration diamond, there is a bit of green around where this attached to the buckle. Some bends to the folded edge. What a stunning piece! Grade: N/A Estimate: $150 - 200
